The FranchisingWA 2024 Industry Awards are open to all Australian Franchise Businesses and Supplier Businesses that operate in Western Australia. The night will recognise the highest level of Franchising throughout Western Australia and will highlight Best Practice amongst the industry.

These two prestigious categories represent the highest achievers that not only inspire us in our franchise system but have dedicated their way of life to assisting others. Without them our business would not be as successful as it is today.

WA WIF Woman of the Year – in open to all Women Franchisees, employees, staff and anyone who has made a positive impression on your organization.

This award will recognize leadership and personal achievement during the past year. To qualify for this award, you must be in your organization for at least 12 months prior to 1 June 2024. You must be based in WA or have responsibilities in WA.

WA Field /Business Manager of the Year This award if for the Field Service representative that has shown outstanding achievement in developing their people, the franchises. The countless hours and large amounts of Frequent Flyer Points often go unrecognized. The dedication to their craft will be recognized on the night. This category in open to all WA Based Field Service / Business Development Manages that look after Franchisees or Company Operations. To be eligible for this award you must be in your role for at least 12 months prior to 1 June 2024. You must be based in WA or have responsibilities in WA.

The Franchisor and Supplier of the Year Awards represent Franchising in the highest honour in Western Australia.

The Supplier of the Year will be recognized for their continued contribution the WA Franchising Sector.

The Best Emerging Franchise System, will be awarded to the WA Franchise System that has grown, and invested in the WA Market and look to expand over the coming years.

There are two categories for the WA Franchisor of the Year Award and is open to all Australian Based Franchise Systems with:

• Franchise Systems with between 3- 10 Franchisees based in WA; or
• Franchise Systems with 11 + Franchisees based in WA

The ‘Iron Ore Award’ symbolises the epitome of franchising in Western Australia. We will be ‘Recognising Outstanding Achievement ‘in the highest honour and will be awarded for the overall Western Australian Franchisor of the Year from the two categories of Franchise systems.

Supplier of the Year This award is open for all Franchise Industry Suppliers that have a presence in Western Australia. You must be an organization or company that supplies goods and or services to the Western Australian Franchise industry. The category includes all legal, accounting, shopfitters, bakeries, soft drinks, manufacturer, packaging and alike.

Best Emerging Franchise System This category is open to all new and upcoming Franchise Systems that are based in Western Australia that have commenced Franchising in the last 2 years with at least 2 Franchisees currently operating.

All WA Franchisees will undertake the ‘WA Franchisee Satisfaction Survey’.

100% of the WA Franchisees must participate. Franchisees complete the 15-minute survey online and must submit their responses within the specified time.

Our definition of an “emerging franchise” is a brand that has established a total of between one and ten locations in WA

The winner of this prestigious award will be watched by many as they look to emulate some of the great things that you have done and look to you for advice on how to avoid some of the pitfall you have encountered along the way.

WA Franchisor of the Year: 3 – 10 Franchisees

This award is open to all Australian Franchise Systems that have operations in Western Australia. To be eligible for this award the Franchise System will:

• Be based in Western Australia; or
• Based in Australia; and
• that have been trading in Western Australia for at least 2 years.
• Have at least 3 Franchisees
• 100% of the WA Franchisees must participate. Franchisees complete the 15-minute survey online and must submit their responses within the specified time.
• Completion of the Franchisor’s Application to be submitted by the closing date as specified.
• One entry per brand

WA Franchisor of the Year: 11+ Franchisees

This award is open to all Australian Franchise Systems that have operations in Western Australia. To be eligible for this award the Franchise System will:

• Be based in Western Australia; or
• Based in Australia; and
• that have been trading in Western Australia for at least 2 years.
• Have at least 11 Franchisees operating in Western Australia
• WA Franchisee Satisfaction Survey – at least 11 must participate and be completed in the required time frame.
• Completion of the Franchisor’s Application to be submitted by the closing date as specified.
• One entry per brand

This award recognizes Best Practice in Franchising in Western Australia, the brand will demonstrate a continued search for excellence in operations and its people.

This award will be awarded for the overall Western Australian Franchisor of the Year from the two categories of Franchise systems above.

Franchisor Entry

Winners are determined from the franchisee’s assessments and a weighting is given for a higher response rate. The prestigious FranchisingWA Award, Recognising Outstanding Achievement, is given to a Gold winner in each of the two Franchisor categories.

Results are calculated from the franchisees’ assessments, and a weighting is given for a higher response rate, winner for each of the four categories. Scoring is based on a scale of 1 to 10 to provide a granular assessment and to enhance the value and accuracy of determining a winner.

Entry is by brand – each brand must complete their own submission and supply a list of all Western Australian Franchisees contact details.

• Your brand application together with the Franchisees responses complete your application
